Great Ideas in Education Conference 2026

About This Conference

The Kansas State Department of Education's three-day conference for district and building leadership teams, framed around coherence — shared purpose, aligned action and collective commitment — and high-leverage practices that accelerate student learning and reduce barriers for Kansas learners. Held in late July as a statewide back-to-school kickoff, it opens with pre-conference summits on literacy, safe and secure schools, at-risk policy and funding, and KEDS data systems, followed by role-aligned breakout sessions on the four fundamentals from both teaching and administrative perspectives, plus implementation-for-results and change-leadership strands. Pricing: pre-conference day only $200, full conference $450, or $400 per person for teams of four; early-bird registration through Apr 30, 2026 saves $50. A room block at the Hyatt Regency is available at $133/night.
