About This Conference

The Minnesota Science Teachers Association's annual Conference on Science Education, themed "Evaluating Science Learning: Where We've Been and Where We're Going." MnCOSE26 focuses on modern assessment practices, encouraging educators to move beyond traditional written tests toward a balance of formative and summative evaluation. Keynote speaker Dr. Tiffany Neill — who has advised the President's STEM board, helped rewrite the 2028 NAEP Science Assessment Framework, and co-chairs a federally commissioned study on the future of rural K-12 STEM — opens the conference Friday at 9 a.m. Tiered rates cover members, nonmembers (one-year membership included), presenters, pre-service students and retirees, plus a Saturday-only option.
