About This Conference

Presented by the Virginia Chamber Foundation in partnership with the Virginia Business Higher Education Council, the Virginia Economic Development Partnership and the Virginia Business-K12 Partnership. A one-day summit (9:00am–2:00pm) convening leaders from business, K-12 and higher education, workforce development and government on strengthening Virginia's talent pipeline from the classroom to the workplace. Panels cover building Virginia's talent advantage by connecting classrooms, careers and opportunity; why K-12 employer engagement is a talent strategy, with practical school-business partnership examples; and aligning curriculum, credentials and careers through internships, skills-based hiring, industry advisory boards and community college partnerships. Tied to the Blueprint Virginia 2035 education and workforce recommendations.
